Today we revised the 6 letters we have learnt so far this term. We found that by saying the sound each letter makes and then blending them together we could make lots of words. See all the words we made. We can even spell some of them.

Friday Fun with Room 2 on PhotoPeach

What a busy week we had this week. I am sure there will be a few tired children after their first week at school. Today we met our big buddies. We told them all about us and they told us about themselves. We are going to have lots of fun together this year.

Today was the first day of school for 2010 and the very first day of school for all the children in Room 2. Welcome to Sophie,Rileigh, Max, Lachlan, Cody and Reuben. I hope you love school.

Today was our first day of clubs. There were so many different things going on around the school including kite making, animal care, chocolate making, picture frames, electricity, pirates etc.
We had a great time. These are some of the things we did.


We did electric stuff with bulbs. Riley

We got pirate books with pirate talk in them. Dylan
We made kiwis. First we started with cardboard and we are making it into a pompom. Levi
There were mazes in the pirate book and you could colour in a pirate. Ben W

We got to find treasure. We found our name tags and we caught Mr Brell. Conal
We did music and we made koala bears. You can bend the arms and put them on the christmas tree. Hannah

We made dip and we got to eat it. I liked it. Brianna
We made hummus and we dipped crackers in. Jackson
We looked at these sprouts and they look like seeds. We put hummus on crackers. Harry

Today Room 2 ran the whole school assembly. I was so proud of how well you did. You were fantastic. To think we only started practising this morning. It was lovely to see so many parents and a Nana, there to support you.

Last week Jonty, Ben, Jackson, Michael and Hannah taught the class their games. They did very well explaining the rules to everyone. On Friday morning we got the chance to play the games. Well done, you did a great job. We are looking forward to learning more games this week as everyone else has their turn.
