Today we had our 3rd session of hockey skills. we have been learning to dribble the ball. A few of us have found it quite confusing learning how to hold our sticks correctly as they don't have left handed hockeys sticks.
Today we played "Rob the nest" and "Creep up Granny" which was lots of fun.
It was lovely having Mackenzie come for her first visit today .

Today we had fun with our big buddies being recorded reading our poems. It was exciting seeing ourselves and we were surprised at how our voices sounded so different.

Well I think we finally have action. If the video doesn't play straight away try again later.

We would love you to leave us a comment. It's easy to do. It won't show up straight away as I have to ok all comments but I will check during the weekend. Have a great weekend and keep warm.

Sorry folks, having real problems uploading these videos. Come up but wont play. will keep trying over the weekend to find a solution because they are so cute. Have a nice weekend.

We made a mixture with yeast, sugar and warm water. We mixed it up and left it overnight.
In the morning we found it was all bubbly and smelt like bread.

What could we do with our mixture?

We decided to add it to flour to see what would happen. Would it be work better than our plain flour and SR flour experiment?
This is what happened.

We have been learning how to be scientists. We read stories about "The little Red Hen". We had "Wonderings" about what would happen if we added different things to flour. We chose 2 questions to experiment with.

"I wonder what would happen if we added just a little bit of milk to the flour?"
"I wonder what would happen if we added a lot of milk to the flour?"

This is what we discovered.

Click on images to make them bigger, or pop into school and look at our "wonderings".

Mr Paterson and I had a lovely morning this morning watching Rippa Rugby. I was so proud of how well Issie, Nevaeh'a and Jed played.

It was a bonus to see lots of other Riverlands Kids out there having so much fun.

Today we had our first day of rugby skills with the Tasman Makos team. We learnt how to pass the ball to a partner and and catch it. We are looking forward to tomorrows session.
Kickstart
Today we had our first session of Kickstart for term 2. Welcome to Charlie, Darling, Josh, Makayla, Mackenzie and their mums who joined us today. We are going to have lots of fun getting ready for school and getting to know each other.
At the end of last term we made 3D rockets and we added all the 2D shapes and their names. Don't they look great.
We also had fun baking with Mrs Paterson and Mrs Boyce. We made Gingerbread hands and we gave one to each of our big buddies and the rest of their class as well. They were delicious.
