We made these cute piggy banks out of milk bottles. They took quite a lot of time and lots of sticky glue to make but we had lots of fun. We wrote stories about the adventures we had with our piggys and gave them all names.

All the junior classes worked hard to make items to sell at our Mini Market. We had saved pocket money from doing helpful things at home and were very excited about spending it. Our stall sold out of popcorn, pet rocks and paper planes, very quickly. We could have made twice as much popcorn as it was very popular. We had a fun time and Room 2 raised $70. We used this to buy a mini animal barn which has a goat, 4 chickens and some feed. We know it will make a big difference to a family in need.

We have really enjoyed our Inquiry about money. We have learnt about "Needs and Wants" and know that "Money does not grow on trees". People have to do things to earn money. We had jobs to do in our classroom and we earnt Riverlands dollars to spend in our class shop. We found we had to save to buy the things we really wanted. It was a real challenge for some of us.
