Here is a wee Easter rhyme we are going to use in a rich task for our maths this week. Ask us some of the things we discovered  with our buddies.

Whole school assembly

Today we had our first time presenting an item at assembly. We said our poem "Me" and then showed our paper plate faces. We read our stories using the microphone. Mrs Paterson was very proud of us.

Fun with Dr Seuss

We had lots of fun last week doing maths activities with Dr Seuss to celebrate his birthday. We made a big stack of turtles like in "Yertle the Turtle" and used ordinal numbers from first through to 12th. We played lots of games with fish to go with the book "1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish" and we made numbers books, poem booklets and compared how many letters ( apples) are in our names after reading "10 apples up on top."

Clubs

What a wonderful time we have had over the last 3 weeks at clubs. It has been exciting seeing what everybody has been doing. Most of us did crafts but Heath went to Junior Science and came back and told us all about the fun he had making a volcano, and goo! as well as other fun things. The rest of Room 2 either made cards or paper bag puppets.Thank you to the teachers for their great ideas and to the parents who helped us.

Saying goodbye to Mrs Boyce

We are very sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs Boyce. We will really miss all her help and encouragement. We hope she enjoys her new job and remembers to come and visit. Mrs Paterson will especially miss your smile, laugh, support and friendship.

Mrs Boyce joining us for her favourite song.
