Tracks are for Trains with Constable Sue Bush.

At the beginning of Term 2 we were lucky to have Constable Sue come and visit us to talk about "Tracks are for Trains". We walked to the railway crossing and practiced all our safe walking skills from Term 1. Unfortunately the train came 30 minutes early but we got to look at all the things that help keep us safe like bells, lines to park behind. The following week we walked along the Rail Trail with Rooms 1 & 11 to see what an uncontrolled crossing looked like. Would you believe it...the train was cancelled! We were very lucky that they were working on the tracks changing the old sleepers for new concrete ones. We were amazed at how 1 machine could take out the old sleeper, dig holes for the new one and then push through the new one while sitting in his cab.
